Trust Rated Good by CQC

The Care Quality Commission has today published its report detailing the findings of the Comprehensive Inspection of our services, which took place in late October last year.

We have been rated as ‘good’ overall.

The report is made up of 10 specific service reports and an overall summary report. The table below details the rating that the CQC has given each of these 10 service areas across each of the five domains.

As you can see, whilst we have been rated as ‘good’ overall, we have two service areas that have been rated as ‘outstanding’ and two service areas which have been rated as ‘requires improvement’.

Our Chief Executive Shaun Clee said: “The Care Quality Commission has provided us with a fresh perspective on our services, and we welcome publication of this report.

“We are pleased to note the many examples of good practice and comments on the quality of care we are providing. We are able to deliver this level of service due to our talented, skilled, committed and caring staff as well as the collaboration and support of our commissioners and partners.

“We have learnt a lot through the inspection process and have either already put in place or are in the process of putting in place the improvements the inspectors have recommended.

“While the report provides a great deal of assurance, we will continue to look for ways in which we can further improve our services.

“Early access to treatment is extremely important in successfully alleviating the distress caused by mental illness. We hope this report provides reassurance to anyone in Gloucestershire and Herefordshire who needs our treatment for themselves or their loved ones and encourages them to seek support if required. One in four people will experience a mental health problem at any given time, and it’s important to speak up and seek help when needed.”
